The stock shocks are essentially pogo sticks. They don’t actually absorb the shock at all, they return the shock – they only have a metal coil spring. Our upgraded shocks have hydraulic dampners (like the shocks in your car) in addition to the metal coil spring. The pre-load is adjustable without tools, so you can make them stiffer or softer, depending on the load the go kart will be carrying, the terrain, and your personal preference.
